In celebration of John G. Neihardt's book "Black Elk Speaks" being chosen as the One Book One Nebraska for 2017, we've planned a special evening retreat in collaboration with Stanton Library and Pilger Library. We'll have readings from "Black Elk Speaks," a presentation on Black Elk's description of the Sacred Hoop and Good Red Road and a presentation about the women who contributed to writing the book, Neihardt's daughters, Enid and Hilda. We'll also have a special guest, Jerome Kills Small, who will be drumming and singing.
