Classes begin May 2025

This is a six-month program designed for learning how to grow, harvest and prepare herbs for family and friends.

We will meet from 1-5 pm on the 4th Friday of May, June, July, August, September and October. Class size is limited to 10 to ensure hands-on, personal learning for each student.

Continue your journey of connecting with Nature and delve deeper into the science and art of herbalism with Year 2 of the Home Herbalist Program. Learn more about the metaphysical benefits of herbs using flower essences as well as the physical benefits for particular body systems. Expand your knowledge of medicine-making by learning about formulation of herbal remedies and the medicinal uses of mushrooms.

Month 1 - 12 more easy-to-grow herbs, herbs for the heart/circulatory system, review actions/constituents, herbal energies

Month 2 - 12 more wild herbs, ethnobotany, herbarium specimens, spring wildcrafting

Month 3 - Herbs for pets, flower essences, herbs for the urinary system, herbs for the lymph system,

Month 4 - Herbs for the musculoskeletal system, herbs for the skin, poultices/compresses, summer wildcrafting

Month 5 - Herbs for ceremony, sacred plants/trees, nature journaling, tree bathing, formulating herbal remedies

Month 6 - Edible/medicinal mushrooms, mushroom foray, ethics and the law of herbalism, fall wildcrafting

Registration: $300 - covers materials and supplies

Class fee per month: $80

Please note, the class fee ($80) is due even if you are not able to attend. Printed materials will be sent to you and projects (tinctures, infused oils, salves, etc.) will be made for you and can picked up at the next class.
